Florian Edition
The Florian Edition section’s aim is to share the captivating story of the Florian world through stories, anecdotes, photographs, delicious recipes, and philatelic cancellations.

The centuries-old history of the Caffè Florian is celebrated by writer Robert De Laroche, a close customer of the Café, who, with his book “Florian, Venice 1720”, brings to life and revisits historical episodes and anecdotes, famous patrons of the Florian alongside the regular clientele, contemporary art exhibitions, details of the Café’s décor, and the story of their restoration.
The history of the Caffè Florian is also told through the comic book “Florian 300”, an illustrated adventure that pays tribute to three centuries of encounters, art, and culture in the heart of Venice.
The section also includes the delicious recipes of the Café’s executive pastry chef, gathered in a book that illustrates, through images and correct ingredients, the typical sweets of Venetian tradition, to be tried at home. The section also features photographic volumes by important names in photography such as Gianni Berengo Gardin, Mark Smith, and Marc de Tollenaere.
An unmissable occasion for collectors is also the limited-edition philatelic cancellations issued by the Italian Post in dedication to the Caffè Florian, created specifically for events such as the thirteenth edition of “Temporanea – The Possible Realities of Caffè Florian” with the title “So, we’ll go no more a roving” by artist Qiu Zhijie, marking both the 290th and the 300th anniversaries of the Caffè’s activity.
